Profile
Based in Cummertree's overlooking
the Solway, we farm a suckler cow herd as well as developing our pedigree British Blue cattle under the Solway View prefix.
We are a young Blue herd, expanding with the use of embryo transfer and the purchase of selected female lines.
Our first brood cows were
Broomfield Vivien, Annanwater Wispa and Park
Nester. All possess the key traits we are looking
for – size, power and mobility.
2006 was our first year in
the show ring and were runners
up for the“ British Blue Exhibitors” title at the Royal Highland
Show. We were also privileged to be part of
the Belgian Blue Interbreed team taking
top honours.
In 2008 Broomfield Vivien took RHS Championship honours and a year later in 2009, it was her daughter Solway View Black Beauty who won the RHS Championship title.
Our winning cows are part of our regular flushing programme.
